Within the scenic splendor of Woolwich, Maine, Tracy Adams and Megan Tyrol craft their wares using custom formulated stoneware clay, strong enough to endure the most punishing environments while losing nothing of their elegance and appeal.  Moreover, this traditional stoneware is dishwasher, microwave and oven safe, as well as being completely lead-free.

Skilled artisans handcraft each piece on a traditional potter’s wheel and then seal the item with antique glazes to enhance the sheen and vibrancy of the earth-tone colors and designs, subsequently firing it in a 2,350-degree gas kiln.  Our durable handmade stoneware pottery will surely be a prized fixture of your home décor.  For nearly 20 years, Saltbox Pottery has been supplying practical and stylish items for everyday use, as has been the tradition of pottery throughout history.
